Item Reuse Report (UC - 5)

This can be used to build metadata to calculate the number of times an item is reused for the Item Reuse Report. This is used to identify how many times an item has been copied or how many duplicates of an item exist in the Codebeamer.

Steps to run the Item Reuse Report: -

  1. Login to Arthrex using the URL ...

  2. Go to the Reports tab.


  3. Go to the Search bar and search for Item Reuse Report.


    Here, you will find two versions of the report, Project-specific and System-specific reports.

    Project-specific reports can be run for a particular project.

    System-specific reports can be run across all projects in the system.

    1. To run the system-specific report, select the system-specific report.


      It will open a new window and it won't ask you to select a project because the report will run across all the projects in the system.

    2. You will see the reports open in the new window.

      There will be 8 columns in the report: - Summary, Status, Priority, Assigned to, Modified by, Modified at, Submitted by, and Submitted at.


Steps to configure the Item Reuse Report: -

  1. Go to the Reports tab.


  2. Go to the Search bar and search for Item Reuse Report.


  3. Select the System-specific report Item Reuse Report - System. This way you can configure all the projects at once.


  4. Click on the Edit button.


  5. Add a filter Has Association and set its value to True.

  6. Choose Association Type as Copy Of.

    This will bring all the items that are associated with Copy Of.

  7. Add Group by as Summary.


Here, you don't need to repeat these steps for different trackers because every tracker in the system is linked with the Has Association and Summary. Therefore, you can configure the report directly in the Reports tab.

Steps to take the export of the report: -

  1. Once the report is created, click on the Export to Office button.


  2. Select Simple Excel Export and click Export.


  3. The Excel file will be downloaded to your Downloads folder.
